CONTEMPORARIES

‘Contemporaries’ is a video clip made for and inspired by the music of the Finnish lo-fi band Kiila. Like in the song, images bring a naïve message: “The people living around us are our contemporaries”. The beginning deconstructs the situation of the spectator (in the cinema, in life), looking at others. It ends in a childish play between music and image. The video is part of a VHS-compilation tape titled ‘Kiila-Heartcore-video’, published in the summer of 2002 by the music label Fonal records.
