VVR together

We are excited to announce VVR Together: a series of 3-monthly artist meetings focused on XR. XR stands for extended reality and is a collective term for immersive technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR).

What

Filmmakers and artists are invited to bring their work-in-progress to peer-to-peer sessions. Each session features one or two participants who present their work or ideas. Presentations can take on different shapes, from experiencing VR or screening a film to describing a dream. Presenters are encouraged to bring questions that gather critical feedback from the group. This exchange can explore broad themes or zero in on particular topics.

Why

VVR Together is designed to be a space for artists to gain valuable insights into their work. These gatherings also serve to share resources and best practices within the community.

Who Is It For

While VVR Together primarily targets experimental and artistic XR makers, the sessions are open to anyone interested in sharing their work. VVR Together is committed to being an open and welcoming space.

Organisers

This series is organised by Maryam K. Hedayat, Jafar Hejazi, and Lucas Dewulf—a trio of artists engaged with VR who are passionate about fostering a community that encourages sharing knowledge and resources.

Nomadic Sessions

The sessions are organised in collaboration with different institutions and travel to different locations. Bozar will host the first sessions on 11 April and 13 June, followed by argos on September 12 and December 12. The sessions are held in English.
