VAF Filmlab info session
What does the current Filmlab landscape look like? What do you need to know for your applications for support for this at the Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF)? Together with Auguste Orts, Elephy and argos, the VAF would like to invite you to an information moment about atypical or experimental audiovisual projects, aimed more at the art circuit.
During this info moment, project manager Chiara Deleersnijder will explain the different requests for support and the accompanying conditions, and also point out the technical and content-related aspects that you should take into account. She also gives an overview of previous years' numbers.
Next, Filmlab committee members Dolores Bouckaert and Stoffel Debuysere as well as producers Sarah Vanagt and Ben De Raes will share their practical experience and give some useful tips. There will also be plenty of room for questions and experience sharing.
Afterwards there will be a reception.
What?
A Filmlab project is a 'single' audiovisual creation of a cinematic nature that distinguishes itself by its atypical character, across genres. These creations are situated primarily within audiovisual art and experimental media art. In terms of screening, these creations are mainly aimed at the art circuit and festivals. The creation should be capable of being shown and distributed on a single screen.
